Differences between Darkon and Teudat Maawar

Darkon (international passport) and Teudat Ma'avar (temporary travel document) are two different types of documents issued to Israeli citizens for international travel.

Here are their main differences:

Visa-free entry to more than 160 countries in about 60 countries
The right to receive It is issued to Israeli citizens who have lived in the country for a certain period of time. It is issued to Israeli citizens who do not meet the criteria for obtaining a Darcon (those who live abroad most of the time).
Extension For a 10-year extension, you must have lived in Israel for at least 60% of the time during the validity period of the previous passport. There are no renewal requirements.
The Darkon is considered the main and more prestigious passport, while the Teudat Maawar is still a “travel document".
