Package of services “DNA Paternity Analysis”

Proof of kinship (DNA test)

A DNA paternity test or kinship test may be required to obtain Israeli citizenship in the following cases:

  • the child was born before the official marriage;
  • the father has Jewish roots and/or he is an Israeli citizen, while the parents were officially married at the time of the child’s birth, but the child was born less than 300 days after the registration of the actual marriage or the registration of the child’s birth at the consulate was carried out 180 or more days later;
  • proof of relationship between cousins is required, because there are no authentic documents about the birth of one of the brothers/sisters;
  • between half-brothers/sisters in case of proof of Jewish roots for repatriation through a Jewish father.

In all these cases, the Consul has the right to request a DNA test to establish paternity (kinship).
